It's the store with a little bit of everything for the shoppers. From cards and gift wrap, to decorations of all types, giftware, toys, body products, candles and candle holders, the shopper is sure to find something to make the perfect gift at Medicine Bottle drug store.
A very popular gift item are the gift packages of ladies' perfumes and men's colognes. Prices are far less than buying the items individually, says manager Lyle Forbes.
Not sure of what brand the intended receiver likes? Try the sampler size gift packages that allow the person to try out various scents. Friendly staff will be more than willing to help you. A popular service offered by Medicine Bottle is that they can make any size gift package or decorative basket. Just tell the staff what you want to spend and what products you want, they will make the perfect gift.
A gift wrap service is also available. Two popular brands of cosmetics at the store are Oil of Olay cosmetics and Coty, which features a selection of men's colognes and women's perfumes. Staff member Marg Keshen, says the collectible figurines are also popular both as gifts and for the serious collector to purchase for themselves. A new line called Dreamsicles is proving to be popular.
Plush toys are always a hit with the children and Medicine Bottle stocks a variety of sizes and styles. Most are bears which children never tire of. The toy section is also jam-packed with other gift ideas for children. Forbes says hot items this holiday season are Star Wars figures, World Wrestling Federation figures, the ever-popular Barbie dolls and Pokemon games and cards.
"We can't keep the Pokemon cards in stock," says employee Joyce Cunningham. A unique item for children is The Kid's Garden line of shampoos and bubble baths. They come in all scents and fruity flavours which will be sure to entice your child in the bathtub. Candy, snacks, and chocolates are also good for those late night hunger pangs. Forbes says to watch for discounts and sales during the year.
