If it’s the perfect family vacation you are looking for, look no further than Shaw’s Point Resort.
The resort, is located on the west end of Lesser Slave Lake, 40 kilometres northeast of High Prairie on Highway 750.
The family-oriented campground features seasonal and overnight camping in serviced and unserviced lots on 160 acres. The resort includes four kilometres of lake front.
Group use areas, including a group kitchen, are also available and are perfect for family reunions, business get-a-ways, . There are horseshoe pits, beach volleyball, a children’s playground and .
If it’s fishing and boating you like, Shaw’s Point has four concrete launch sites and two inland marinas to provide a safe harbor for all sizes of boats. One side of the point remains calm during either an east or a west wind allowing fishermen and windsurfers to enjoy the water on the same day.
Water skiing, wind surfing and swimming are excellent and fish are plentiful for those who want to land those big pike, perch or walleye.
The resort even has pontoon boats for rent for those who don’t have their own boat.

A restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake has become well-known for its homecooked meals and fabulous pies.
An on-site store provides all amenities including a good supply of fishing supplies and bait. Gas and propane are also available as are showers and laundry facilities.
Fully equipped bunkhouses and ATCO trailer self-contained units can be rented over the summer season, although bookings should be made well in advance. They are also open in Winter for ice fishing.
Shaw’s Point Resort, welcome visitors to come and visit the resort and enjoy all it has to offer. You won’t be disappointed. Room will always be found somewhere for the overnight camper even though the resort is very busy during the summer and is on a first come basis.
Day visitor rates are $5 . Boat launch fees are $7.50. Camping rates are $17 for a serviced site and $14 for an unserviced site.
